Anton Botha has grown tremendously since he first entered the music scene in 2005 and he is ready to reach new highs in the coming year. What is in store fot he year? Anton Botha has already in primary school performed with legends in the South African music industry to the likes of Coenie de Villiers, Anneli van Rooyen en Randall Wicomb. In 2003 ATKC Crescendo announced Anton as one of the finalists in this prestige competition. In 2008 he was nominated for a SAMA-Award for Best Afrikaans Pop Album and also received a Golden Award for his contribution to “Country Kersfees and Country Konings 1” which both sold more than 20 000 units. Anton was nominated in 2016 for Best Rock Album during the Ghoema-Awards. As talented and sought after songwriter, he has written songs for Juanita du Plessis, Karen Ferreira, Thys die Bosveldklong, Wynand Strydom, Karlien Husselman and Izak Davel. He has toured with Robbie Wessels, Wynand Strydom and Thys die Bosveldklong. South Africa soon fell in love with this blue-eyed singer/songwriter. Reviews of Anton’s music have been published in magazines such as Huisgenoot, Vrouekeur, Rapport, Rapport Tydskrif and many more.
